My Meaningful Event
I thought alot about this post. What could I pick out as the most meaningful event in the entire year? Finally, after much deliberation, I decided to pick a series of small events that are all related. "What are these magical events?", you ask me. Well, they are from my 365 Ways to Change the World book. Every day I can open the book and find a new way to help change the world for the better! (see the title...:)...) I have learned so much from this book! It was why I started the glasses drive, why I am learning sign language, why I learned how to knit, as well as why my family will be installing a rain barrel and compost bin soon! It is really satisfying to know that one small action can make such a big impact. I would like to go on, but it's pretty late so I'll continue tomorrow.

That's a really good one. I think that's really goodthat you can do little things each day to brighten someone elses day, or yours. :)
Wow, wish I was that motivated! I think it's so cool that you work so hard to help the world. (By the way I need to check if I have any glasses to give you, if your still collecting them)
sounds like a cool book, it reminds me of what a few peope were saying on the change blog about how little things can eventually make a difference
thats really cool!
its great that you are trying something new and for the better of the community.
keep it up :]
madelyn. you would make the best role model ever. your nice and opionioated and you are always trying to make the world a better place for every one. more people need to be like you.
and i need to get myself one of those books!
how nice of you. Too bad not everyone does that. I heard of that book myself and my sister bought it. Apparently, she does a lot of the stuff in it but i don't know for sure since shes in college. i'd do it myself but i'd probably lose me motivation for it within a few days so... well good job.
Madelyn it's so awesome that you are so motivated to change the world. Especially since it's such small things every time. It really shows that any little bit counts
I love how you are so into the world and helping to conserve it. That;s pretty much my absolute favorite thing about you. Your so hippie and rad!
You mean you didn't already have a rain barrel and a compost bin? I can't believe it, I thought for sure you would have those by now, at least a compost bin. I suppose you are going to get one of those Earthworm farms for your food waste too! Marta, you are a pretty inspired, inspiring person. Keep up the good work. It is really enlightening to see young people with as much conviction and drive as you, again, even though you are on the wrong side!! just kidding, your conservation efforts and good will are apolitical! I'm impressed again.
